Party Monster App Reviews

Good app. Awful shuffle algorithm.

And heres the downfall of this app: Its shuffle algorithm is really, really, really bad. Besides that, its a quite pleasant experience.

The best app I have ever spent money on

This app is an extremely useful tool as a back up for any DJ. Plug your phone in before you even set up or let it play during tear down.

Perfect house party DJ app

Really well thought out. Very well designed. Great for house parties or any time you want to have a playlist that is easily adjustable. This app works very very well. I do wish there was some way to rewind or start a song over thats been paused. But thats minor. Great app. Highly recommended.

Used to be good

Very nicely done app and one I used a lot. Unfortunately, its now become unusable. Swiping - a key UI element - no longer works and rather than playing a song, it now locks up the app. Not good. Last update (months ago) was supposed to fix this. Alas it did not and it looks like it might be time to write this one off.

Useful and outstanding, from concept to execution.

Love this idea and the polish on the interaction details. "Refuse to play Nickelback" made me laugh pretty hard.

Finally, an excellent queue app

The queuing system in this app is more useful and dynamic than Music+, and after using it for a few hours, it has not crashed once, unlike OnCue. The crossfading is sweet, and on the lockscreen it shows the next songs in the queue. It is separate from the Music app, and it works smoothly with my cars iPod interface. It is one of the very few apps that ACTUALLY RESPECTS PLAYLIST FOLDERS. This app is off to a great start, all it needs is a neat nowplaying screen like CarTunes and browsing by composers. As it is, its definitely worth the two dollars.

Awesome for taking kids on road trips

Teenagers are ridiculous this put to rest who gets to play what just have everyone cue up their songs. I love the that total time displays too.

Well done

Bought this solely because of the "Nickleback" feature but was pleasantly surprised by the ease and functionality of this app. Good job guys.

Real Review

So far this is awesome! Im going to try it on the radio next time. I made a dead track that I can fade to. That way I can insert a pause without killing the current playing track! I do the exact thing using iTunes on the computer. Now I can just use this...now if they could build in "pause after current playing track" that would be cool. But so far I am pretty stoked about this app!

Love this app

I love this app because of cross fading and the "up next" feature. I love how easy it is. But Id like the ability to choose music by genre. Otherwise, no complaints so far.

Genres would be nice!

This app is absolutely fantastic! So easy to use, pretty intuitive, and works flawlessly. I only have one gripe; please add genres to the add songs option. It would make finding songs that fit the occasion a lot easier!

Great app!!!!

For once an app that is inspired by simplicity. If you want to play a bunch of songs, there is nothing easier. Select & play. Vey few options, built in cross fades, easy rearrangement of song queue. Single app for both iPhone/iPad. Never crashed for me.

Perfect

Party Monster is a DEFINITIVE instant home page app.... Perfect simplicity and functionality.

Great App!!!!

Just what I was looking for, very easy to use.

Horrible

I just blew 2 buck on this horrible app dont buy it because it just plays your own music I am warning you!!!!

Light Assembler

Now I have nonstop music for real. No more seconds of dead air.

Some songs dont play

Some songs dont play and I dont know why. When you slide to play, the song should play right? Just sits there. If you have songs in the cloud with iTunes match dont bother this app has no access to those files.

Excellent

Great interface, smooth, intuitive, my favorite way to listen to music on the iPhone now. And it has a "Refuse to play Nickelback" option. Im not kidding.

Excellent "Party DJ" app

Ive tried almost every music player and this one finally gets it right when it comes to being a "Party DJ". It is very thoughtfully designed for that purpose: It makes it hard to accidentally stop the music, you can easily rearrange the queue or add to the queue, and it gives HINTS about the gestures you are supposed to use to play or stop a song! (I dont want to be experimenting with what gesture does what in the middle of a party!) Plus it crossfades between tracks, even when you skip to a new song! Its not a full-featured music player, but for making a party queue, its nearly perfect.

Awesome app

I seldom write reviews, but this is a great app. Easy to use and a simple UI, love it.
